Budget Wins in Washington

Oregon and Washington’s 2024 legislative sessions have adjourned, and we’re excited to share our session recap. We made significant progress to secure funding for community-driven energy education, planning and project development that reflect local strengths and priorities. Read on to learn how.

Meaningful Collaboration with Oregon Community Partners

In Oregon we encouraged the Department of Energy to extend its Solar + Storage rebate program. The rebate program supports our work to provide free rooftop solar to owners of permanently affordable homes in Portland. We worked with our program partners Proud Ground Community Land Trust and Solar for All on this advocacy. Even though it didn’t pass, it was an honor to collaborate, and we had a lot of fun while doing so! We are eager to continue our advocacy collaborations with project partners in the future.
