Maria Jimena is a Senior Energy Project Manager at Microsoft. She is responsible for developing and executing the energy strategy for Microsoft Cloud’s data centers in North and South American markets. Prior to this role, she worked in consulting and academia, specializing in energy and infrastructure finance and economics. She worked across 25+ countries, advising governments, private sector companies, and development institutions, such as the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, and the Caribbean Development Bank. She holds an MBA in Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources from the University of Alberta, a Masters in Economics and a BSc in Industrial Engineering from Universidad de los Andes in Colombia.
