Jen Yoshimura
Jennifer is an electricity infrastructure advisor at PNNL. She leads energy equity and justice work that includes grid and regulatory projects incorporating decarbonization, equity, and resilience objectives into grid planning, and the Energy Storage for Social Equity (ES4SE) Initiative, a community technical assistance program. Relevant prior experience includes 20+ years of energy and engineering expertise in building engineering design, renewable energy planning at Hawaiian Electric Company and energy efficiency management at Puget Sound Energy (PSE). She managed PSE’s transmission engineering team and HDR’s Washington State Power Delivery team that comprised of transmission, distribution, and substation engineering teams. As a Kānaka Maoli (Native Hawaiian) she provides a unique perspective of underrepresented and unrecognized communities in the energy transition work DOE and Labs are supporting and leading. She enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, and bouldering.
