Eriq is a descendant of the Indigenous Peoples of North America (Mexican (Spanish and Indigenous), Dine’ and Pueblo roots) whose education and life has spanned throughout the United States. Eriq grew up an Urban Indian not knowing what that meant to be Indigenous until much later in life. It wasn’t until his early twenties that he started to explore and develop what it meant to be an Indigenous individual; community, culture, spirituality, family, food, and a connection to mother earth. This helped him realize his passion is in service to Indigenous communities and he’s honored to be part of the Spark Northwest team. Eriq will work with communities in the Pacific Northwest to realize their clean energy goals.
