Allyse has enjoyed working in organic farming and sustainable building for the past several years and is excited to join Spark Northwest in the movement towards equitable, renewable energy. Allyse works in our Rural Renewables program providing technical assistance to farmers and rural small business owners. She is passionate about asset-based community development and feels privileged to have learned about this approach to resiliency and empowerment from communities around the world. Allyse holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Western Washington University and has spent time as a journalist for the WWU’s environmental publication, The Planet Magazine. Outside of work, she loves hiking and biking in the mountains around Bellingham, tending her homely garden, and hammocking with a good book.
