Batteries 101
What is a residential battery?
A residential battery, also known as a home battery or energy storage system, is a type of customer-owned battery designed for homes to store excess energy generated by solar panels or the grid. It’s typically installed behind the meter alongside a solar panel system or can be used as a standalone system to provide backup power during outages.
